Formed in Tokyo in 2020, Straight Back Forward is the meeting point of two very different journeys.
Vocalist Joshua, raised in London, and guitarist masasucks (Fullscratch, the HIATUS, Radiots, Puffy, Team Shachi, J Band), who grew up in Osaka's west side, crossed paths in Tokyo. What connected them was the same heartbeat of their youth: melodic punk rock.
Even as the world was thrown into turmoil by the global pandemic in 2020, their passion stayed unshaken.

UK-based label JPU Records signed Straight Back Forward for their debut single release, bringing the band's melodic punk sound to international audiences.
